Lost at Last Vol. 1

Neo-folk singer/songwriter Langhorne Slim set out to capture something raw and spontaneous with this album, and he got what he was after.

While some tracks like "Zombie" bear a blend of Americana and indie pop not terribly far form that of M. War, rootsier tunes like the foot-stomping, back-porch hoedown "Bluebird" and the spare, folk-flavored outlaw ballad "Private Property" dominate. And when Slim seamlessly mixes pop and folk on the infectious, upbeat, and rather Cat Stevens-ish "Funny Feelin'," he ups his game to a whole other level.
